Well, this started out as an excercise to see how I could do at a sort of nebula that I've seen a couple of times, but turned into this. It's taken about two days worth of straight work to do, and it's definitely the best I've done, at least digital-painting-wise. Managed this with a keyboard and a one-button mouse. C&C appreciated.
Holy crap! I wish I had that kind of skill. Very impressive. As for critique... well, this isn't exactly my area of expertise But yes, very awesome. +fav
Damn, very cool, was well worth the full-view. The fact that you did this with just a mouse makes this all the more impressive. Particularly love the middle of this, you've really done the contrast between the light and the opaque clouds very well, great accented edges. As for some critique, you might bring out the small planets above and below a bit more, that's pretty picky though... Great work.
Thanks! I was thinking about making the planets a little more obvious, but decided I liked them better as a smaller detail, so that they were there to add to the scene but not take away from the nebula.
